I must admit that the feelings and imagery evoked by the Tarot intrigue me. Not in the physical sense, although that does play a role, but rather in the way they talk to me.

I have close to or more than 30 tarot and oracle decks (I've stopped counting). They each have their own unique language and are all distinct. Some are candid, while others are jokesters; some are stern, and others are kind. I choose all of my decks predominantly based on their visual appeal.

Once captivated by the deck images, I draw on my sacral chakra to assess whether I sense a connection. I am a single definition for individuals familiar with Human Design. As a result, I immediately feel either a draw-in (meaning YES and giving energy) or a tug away (i.e., NO, it will remove energy).

The Light Seer's deck, which I discovered first in person, immediately resonated with me, even though all three are on my recommended products list. The Smith-Waite deck is solely Caucasian figures, and as I mentioned in a previous post, I feel disconnected from it for various reasons. In contrast, the iconography of the Light Seer's deck is warm, welcoming, inclusive, and diverse.

I conducted a deck introduction out of habit and was pleased with how accurate and responsive the deck was. This is the deck I always use for readings, including my own. I purchased an additional deck online with the same accuracy, gave one to my daughter, and suggested it to other readers I know. They are adored by everyone I know who has used them.

Although the artwork on the middle card from the Oracle of Shadows and Light deck might be daunting, I immediately purchased them after seeing their online illustration. Their message is slightly more sardonic than the Light Seer's, and they always seem to be the truth-sayers. This one may sting a little, depending on one's feelings and whether one prefers a situation to be sugar-coated. However, I have always found its message exactly what I needed to hear.

The Good Tarot is last, but certainly not least. This deck has the softest images and the most loving messages of any deck I own. The instruction manual also provides helpful guidance for less-than-ideal circumstances if you encounter difficulties with the interpretation.

Depending on the questioner, the circumstance, and the subject, I draw on various decks when I conduct readings for myself or others. There are times when a simple, no-nonsense response is needed, and other times when tact is needed. I typically begin the reading with the Light Seer's deck because it tends to be more neutral before choosing others.

Although I have many favorites, these are the ones I use most frequently. I'll make sure to add more deck insights as time permits. I'll go into more detail about the information I gain from readings and how I share it with my clients next time.

Until next time,  let your inner compass guide you. 🧭
